Greater Noida Master Plan

Since the adoption of the last master plan in 2021, Greater Noida has experienced considerable growth and development. The Greater Noida Master Plan 2041 is designed to further enhance the city through several key initiatives.

To establish Greater Noida as a prominent urban centre, authorities intend to acquire approximately 40,000 hectares of land. Of this, around 9,736 hectares have been designated for residential development.

A comprehensive land acquisition and development strategy has been formulated in conjunction with the forthcoming Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar Airport, to facilitate housing and industrial growth.

The master plan for Greater Noida allocates roughly 14,192 hectares for industrial development, while an additional 2,673 hectares is earmarked for commercial use and development. The strategic planning of residential and commercial areas has positioned Greater Noida as a favoured investment destination.

The government aims to extend the city’s boundaries while ensuring a balance between urban and rural needs. It is anticipated that the forthcoming initiatives to broaden the city’s scope and stimulate economic growth will yield positive results.

The Greater Noida Master Plan 2041

The Greater Noida Master Plan 2041 has been formulated as an extension of Noida within the Gautam Buddha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. This area is home to numerous universities that offer various educational opportunities.

The real estate sector in Greater Noida has witnessed remarkable growth. The government has established a long-term vision for the city’s economic advancement through the Greater Noida Master Plan 2041.

Recently, both Noida and Greater Noida have undergone substantial development, particularly in residential and infrastructure sectors. In August 2023, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) sanctioned the Greater Noida Master Plan 2041.

GNIDA’s objective is to promote the development of urban communities by providing social infrastructure and outstanding architectural designs. To facilitate the expansion of Greater Noida, the Master Plan 2041 relies significantly on acquiring agricultural land from local farmers. Currently, GNIDA encompasses 31,733 hectares and aims to increase this to 71,733 hectares by 2041. If the plan is executed as intended, Greater Noida is expected to grow fourfold by 2041, supporting a population of around 4 million over the next 18 years, along with projected growth.
